Meet the team

Dr. Willem Ueckermann, Dentist, BChD

Dr Ueckermann graduated from University of Pretoria in 1987 at the top of his class, obtaining his BChD degree with honours. After working in both private practice and NHS dentistry in South Africa and the United Kingdom he returned to the University of Pretoria for further postgraduate studies. During this time he lectured in Oral Pathology and worked forensic consultant to the police while doing research in oral cancer as part of his degree studies for a masters degree in odontology (MSc.Odont). He obtained this degree in 1997 with honours and returned to the United Kingdom to join The Elms Dental Practice as an associate becoming the owner and principal between 2002-2025.

After over 30 years in dentistry Dr Ueckermann still enjoys developing new clinical skills allowing him to offer his patients a wide range of high quality treatment options delivered in a professional environment. He encourages his patients to take an active part in their treatment planning based on the information and guidance provided by the whole practice team. Although there are amazing new cosmetic treatments available I believe that most patients just want a high standard of basic dental care that will help them to maintain their oral health. Thanks to the hard work of the entire team The Elms Dental Practice is able to provide an exceptional level of care in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
